According to a post made by a reliable source, the cancellation was ascribed to logistical issues as the organizers couldn't not secure visas for the Nigerian delegation in time for the game citing the strict visa issuance policies of the United States as a contributing factor to this unfortunate outcome.

Argentina's new opponent will be Costa Rica instead.
