Heartland FC: Prince Ogbonna Urges Mgt Members To Set Aside Differences

..Calls For Unity of Purpose Against Plateau UTD, Relegation Battles

Worried by the precarious situation and dwindling fortunes of Heartland FC, the Imo State Sports Commission Chairman, Prince Sir Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna "Ambassador" has called for unity of purpose among the management, technical crew, players and fans of the former league champions.

Reacting on the recent outburst of some of the management members and the current position of the club on the log, Prince Ogbonna, said everyone needs to come together as a family and work with one love to salvage the ugly situation.

He insisted that although it might look difficult to achieve but that with unity and collective positive efforts devoid of rancour, the Naze Millionaires can avoid relegation.

The former International player cum business mogul and renowned philanthropist urged members of the management, technical crew and players to set aside their differences especially as they prepare to take on Plateau United, in their next league match in Awka so they can achieve a positive result.

"It is indeed worrisome that our dear Heartland FC is wallowing in the relegation waters of the NPFL, log but I believe that with unity of purpose among the various factors of the team, it can still be salvaged”

"There is need for the aggrieved persons to set aside their grievances and work like a family in other to start getting the desired result.”

"Heartland FC can not afford to go on another relegation as it won't speak well of His Excellency's commitment to the team and I want to appeal to all to come together as one family starting with their next game in Awka so we can salvage the ugly situation.”

Heartland is currently last on the NPFL log, after 20 matches and will on Wednesday take on Plateau United in Awka, Anambra State in one of the match day 22 NPFL encounters.
