Imo will today play host to the First Lady and wife of President of the Federation, Her Excellency, Distinguished Sen Oluremi Tinubu as he visits to flag off an Women Agricultural support programme.

Infonews.com.ng learnt the former Senator will be welcomed to the Imo State Capital, Owerri by Her Excellency, Barr Mrs Chioma Uzodimma who is expected to lead other South East First Ladies to welcome the august visitor.

The South East Governor's wives expected to join Barr Mrs Uzodimma includes; Her Excellency, Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah of Enugu State, Her Excellency, Mrs Money Soludo of Anambra State, Her Excellency, Mrs Priscilla Otti of Abia State, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Mar-Maudline Nwiduru of Ebonyi state .

The event according to reports will hold today (Wednesday) at the Imo State Government House, Owerri starting from 10am.

Sen Oluremi Tinubu is expected to flag off the "Renewed Hope Initiative Women Agricultural Support Programme" In collaboration with the "NLDA/RHI Women Farmers Support Programme SouthEast Geopolitical Zone".

This according to our source is critical and of huge significant as the 2024 farming/planting season sets in as the women in power seeks to empower their fellow women for the season.
