Abia State Govt Sets To Build A 35,000 Capacity FIFA-Approved Stadium
..As Soil Test of Location Begins
Plans are seriously being made by the government of Abia State under the leadership of Gov Alex Chioma Otti to construct a 35, 000 capacity FIFA-approved stadium.
Although details of the plan was still sketchy as at the time of this report but the state government according to impacable source revealed that three locations have been penciled down for the construction of the proposed stadium adding that soil test has began.
Infonew.com.ng learnt that the soil test for the Abia State’s proposed 35,000 FIFA-approved stadium begins.
This was disclosed by the commissioner for Sports, Sir Obilor Ananaba in a press briefing yesterday at Umuahia.
Three different locations has been pencilled down to build a standard stadium.
in the state according to FIFA specifications. The selected locations will be communicated after finalization.
