Anambra Football Fraternity Mourns As Ex Solution FC Gaffer Goes Home Friday

..Stakeholders Holds Commemorative Match For Uche Okagbue Today

A commemorative football match will hold today (Thursday, 6 March, 2024) at Washington Grammar School, Onitsha, in honour of former FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Solutiin FC, Coach, Uche Okagbue.

Okagbue, who had previously had coaching spell at Sporting FC, Lagos, was the pioneer coach of Solution FC, a team formed few months ago by the Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo government of Anambra State.

The former junior Nigeria international died on 26 January, 2024, after a brief illness.

As part of his burial ceremony slated for March 6, at their family compound, the family of the late gaffer has released a program of events for the burial arrangements of the late former Enyimba player.

Ifeanyi Okagbue, Uche Okagbue's younger brother, disclosed that amongst activities lined up for the burial of the one time Enyimba ace is a commemorative football match between Omagba FC and Okagbue FC.

"The Match will hold at Washington Memorial Grammar School field, Onitsha, at 4pm on Thursday, March 7, 2024", Ifeanyi said.

"Thereafter, his remains will be laid to rest at the family compound on Friday, 8 March, 2024, according to the customs and tradition of the Onitsha Ancient Kingdom", Ifeanyi, a former El-Kanemi Warriors FC, Maiduguri star added.
