Enyimba Disappointed But Won't Give Up After Remo Loss - Coach Finidi
League Champions Gaffer, Coach Finidi George has expressed Enyimba's disappointment after the unfortunate loss to Remo Stars in Ikene on Wednesday.
A momentary lapse in defending following a quick response aided the Ikene side to earn a second half goal that ensured Remo did a double over the People's Elephant' and continue their unbeaten run against the Aba giants in as many as Six games.
Reacting on the game, Coach Finidi who will link up with the Super Eagles camp alongside his Captain, Olorunleke Ojo for the International friendlies said the game was a 50-50 tie which any side could have won as he gave credit to the home team for their hunger to win.
He however insisted that Enyimba won't give up on their challenge on the defence of their league title saying they will keep fighting until the last day.
"Yeah in a way, am disappointed because I felt the game was 50-50, any side could have won it.
"I was angry because it was poor defending, we know without mistake the opponent cannot score and with mistake we too cannot score but I would have loved my defenders to be a little bit aggressive and attentive in that situation.
"Yeah we have to give them credit, they wanted to win, we did enough to get something out of this game. On the overall it was a good game for the fans to see but am quite disappointed.
"Everything is possible why not, eemh we would not throw in the towel, we will fight till the last day, we see our chances in this league to defend it , we would not relent in our efforts hopefully we would get there.
Enyimba will next turn their attention to their next game against Niger Tornadoes in Aba this Sunday as they hope to continue their fine home form to continue their quest for the league defence.
