Hard-Times: Gov Uzodimma Orders IBM Procure, Sale Foodstuff At Subsidized Rate

Imo state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has directed the Imo Marketing Board (IMB) to commence procurement, sale and distribution of foodstuff at subsidized prices to Imo citizens.

The Governor gave the order on Wednesday morning through its HopeNewAndElectronicMediaCentre, directing ministries, agencies and departments to proceed to the office of the Head of Service at the state Secretariat, to take receipt of their items, which include bags of rice, vegetable oil and other dry stock.

The incentive, according to the Governor's media handlers, was in line with his (Governor) welfare packages to Imo people to help cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal as well as improve food availability to Imolites.
