NPFL Hammer Falls On Enyimba, Doma UTD
..As Clubs Get N7m, N3m Fine Respectively
The Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL, have melted out sanctions to both Enyimba Int'l FC and Doma United following the disturbances and breach of the league's frame work during their NPFL match day 24 encounter in Aba last Sunday.
The sanctions was contained in a release made public by the league organizers and seen by Infonews.com.ng.
According to the releases;
"NPL Asked Enyimba FC To Pay N7m Fine Over Last Home Incident Against Doma United, To Close Stadium Gate To Fans For 3 Home Games.
"The reigning NPFL Champions will pay a fine of N1m for not providing adequate security for their last home match against Doma United
"Enyimba will pay another N1m for encroachment on to the pitch by their fans and other unauthorized persons
"The Aba base NPFL side will also pay N5m fine for the disruption of live broadcast of the match
"The Enyimba Stadium will be closed for fans in their next 3 home league matches
In same vein, Doma United have been also asked to Pay N2m For Breaching NPFL Framework & Rules In Aba
"Doma United FC of Gombe State have been asked to pay a fine of N2m for breaching NPFL Framework & Rules in their last away game against Enyimba in Aba
"Doma United fined N1m for misconduct capable of bringing the game to disrepute
"United to pay another N1m for general misconduct and failure to ensure proper conduct of their players and officials
"Both clubs have 48hrs from the time of this release to appeal the decision
