Onuimo lawmaker, Hon Uba Commends Gov Uzodinma on $1.5b Investment to Imo

 

A proactive and prominent Lawmaker and the Honourable member representing Onuimo state constituency in the Imo state House of Assembly, Owerri, Hon Chief Uba James Esile has commended the Governor of Imo state, His Excellency Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodinma for attracting a whopping $1.5 billion dollars investment to Imo state from the African Export and Import bank Afrexim bank which will help to boost infrastructural development and create jobs for the people.

The development which prompted the Honourable member representing Ngor Okpala state constituency, Hon Obinna Egu  to move a motion in the floor of the house  to commend the governor for such achievement.

It should be recalled that the Honourable members at the plenary on Tuesday commended the Governor and passed a vote of confidence on him for attracting such investment which will help to facilitate infrastructural development in Imo state.

The young and energetic lawmaker, Chief  Uba while adding his voice on the floor of the house commended Governor Hope Uzodinma for bringing such huge investment adding that the Governor is a critical thinker and an achiever who thinks outside the box in order to achieve success for the state. He said the governor has done very well in his first tenure and will do more in this his second tenure. 

Chief Uba stated that for the governor to attract this huge investment  to Imo state, he would definitely build infrastructures that will make Imo the commercial hub of the south east zone. He said the fund will help in building network of roads, bridges, dredge Oguta lake, attract foreign direct investment and create jobs for the teeming unemployed youths.

The founder of the Fresh Air foundation  who has already empowered over 85 youths as  aides in his constituency said the fund will help in exploring oil and gas reserves  in Ohaji Egbema and other parts of the state and that will upgrade Imo state as one of the  major oil producing states in Nigeria. He urged the governor to come to Onuimo to explore the oil and gas reserves there which is still untapped.

He calls on all Imo citizens to support the good efforts of Governor Hope Uzodinma to bring development to Imo state and urged all Imolites in diaspora to come home and invest as Imo will soon be electrified with constant power supply.
