War Against Rape: Imo Police Nab 3 Suspects For Defiling 12 -Year Old Minor

The law has finally cought up with three men in Imo for allegedly raping repeatedly  a minor, injuring and infecting her with transmitted diseases, Infonews.com.ng reports.

According to a release made Public by the Imo State Police PPRO, Henry Okoye, detectives of the Imo State Police Command through painstaking and diligent investigations arrested three suspects namely; Joseph Onyema, ’m’, 35 yrs, Uzoma Nwanoreze, ‘m’, 30yrs, and Eberechukwu Nwosu ‘m’ age 43yrs, allegedly involved in defiling a 12-year-old girl (name withheld). 

Investigation revealed that the suspects had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor on different occasions which made her develop serious virginal injuries as well as a sexually transmitted disease. 

The victim is currently receiving intense medical care at the hospital. The suspects will have their day in court upon completion of a discreet investigation.

The Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma while condemning the barbaric acts in totality, calls on the well-meaning resident of Imo State to support the Police in the onslaught against defilement, rape, and other sexual related crimes in the State. He affirmed that such societal menace is utterly condemnable and perpetrators will be made to face the wrath of the law.
