Bizarre Activity In Imo Secretariat As Civil Servants Indulge In Jumping Fence

A strange and bizarre activity is gradually becoming a norm among some civil servants in Imo state Secretariat situated in New Owerri along Port Harcourt road.

Infonews.com.ng observed with dismay as some civil servants who arrived the Port Harcourt end of the State Secretariat but instead of  using the entrance gate decided to jump the security fence to gain entrance into the Secretariat premises.

This ugly and uncivilized activity was widely condemned by onlookers who quickly berated especially an average aged woman who was involved in the act saying she could accidentally get stuck or injured by the iron barres on the fence.

Others who also spoke profusely against the very barbaric act warned that it is a security threat as hoodlums could just be watching and emulate their style to perpetrate criminal activities in the Secretariat.

They called on the state Head of Service, HoS and Heads of various Ministerial Departments situated in the Secretariat to fish out the offenders. To also caution as well punish persons found culpable and warn their staff against such act as it is shameful and derogatory to the state government and civil service code of conduct.
