Enyimba Gaffer, Finidi Excited to Be Back to Club Actions Says, 'ZOBIA' Derby A Crunchy Battle
Enyimba FC Technical Adviser, Coach Finidi George has insisted that his team is battle ready for the Sai Masu Gida Boys who would be coming in from Kano for a crunch tie with the elephants.
Finidi George who was away on National team duties as the interim head coach of the Super Eagles in the games against Ghana and Mali respectively expressed how good it feels to be back to club football
“I was away for some time and I am back and it is good to be back and it is club assignment”
Speaking on the game dubbed the Zobia Classic, Coach Finidi insisted that his team is playing at home and would expect nothing short of winning which is the best result after loosing out on penalties in the state FA cup finals.
“We are playing at home and we try to get the best result which is winning and anything short of winning is not good enough so we would do everything possible”.
Finidi also mentioned the readiness of the players for the game expressing confidence that his boys are ready for the battle and the elephants would also spring up good football.
“We have told the players it’s a battle and we have to go for the game so we should expect good football from Enyimba and the the boys are in good form”
In the reverse fixture played on the 12th of November, 2023, the elephants narrowly lost out to Kano pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium Kano after Abba Adams scored the only goal of the game in the 71st minute
Enyimba Int’l FC will on Wednesday , 3rd April 2024, lock horns with Kano Pillars at the Enyimba International Stadium Aba. Kick off is slated for 4pm
