Mgbuisii, Umuokanne Archdeaconries Qualify for Ohaji-Egbema Anglican Diocese Football Cup Final

Mgbuisii Archdeaconry and their counterparts, Umuokanne Archdeaconry has emerged finalist of the 2024 edition of Ohaji/Egbema Anglican Diocese football competition
In the semi finals matches plaid last Saturday at two different locations in the Diocese, Mgbuisii Archdeaconry emerged winner after working- over the Cathedral Archdeaconry while Umuokanne Archdeaconry defeated Umuchineke Archdeaconry by a 5-4 through penalty shoot out.
To qualify at the quarter final levels of the competition, Umuchineke Archdeaconry humbled Obitti Archdeaconry while Umuokanne Archdeaconry trashed Ohoba Archdeaconry.
The final and the second placed matches would be played at a date yet to be fixed
Speaking to the Editor Spokesman Newspapers, shortly after the match, the Sports Chaplain of the Diocese, Reved Can. Uzoma Uzochukwu expressed joy for the way and manner the competition has gone so far
He said that for the past 3 years the competition was put on hold untill this year when the Bishop of Ohaji/Egbema, Anglican Diocese, The Rt. Revd Chidi Collins Oparaojiaku has approved for the 2024 edition of the football competition.
Can. Uzochukwu said that the finals of the competition would hold at a date that would soon be announced by the Bishop at the Cathedral
He assured of some innovations that would be brought in to make the event a remarkable one.
