NLO Day 3, OISA Center: Teams Hard To Be Separated As First Mahi, Ikukuoma, Heartland Feeders, Campos, Khalifat FC Draw Game

The contest for the only play off slot in this year's NLO One particularly for OISA Center in Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo state has continued to intensify as teams have refused to be separated easily.

This is following the results recorded during match day 3 encounters decided on Wednesday April 24, 2024 were they was three draws and only one win.

In the early game between Ikukuoma FC and Campos FC, both sides settled for a draw as Campos FC threw away their early lead late in the dying minutes as it was when both sides met in the Imo State FA Cup were it also ended 1-1.

The second encounter of the day equally had a similar situation when Heartland Feeders shot into an early lead against Khun Khalifat FC only for both sides to settle for spoils 1-1 after Khalifat benefited from what looked like a cheep penalty.

The third encounter however saw the host club, OISA FC record their first win in the league haven drawn their first and lost their second encounter to Heartland Feeders and Khun Khalifat respectively.

The Okpala side got the better of A&A FC 1-0 late in the second stanza of their game to stay in contention of the league.

The last game of the day between First Mahi FC and St Nwadinso FC saw the Abajah in Nwangele LGA side blaming the match officials for not getting the maximum points alleging that they should have had their 2 legitimate goals disallowed in the first minute of play when Anayo Patrick nodded home only for the Centre Referee and his assistant to wave play on and again had another goal chopped off in the second half haven gone behind and rallied round to equalize to leave the score line at 1-1 after full time.

With these results, Campos FC and Ikukuoma FC both top the log with 5 points after three games while Khun Khalifat FC, OISA FC and St Nwadinso all have 4 points leaving First Mahi FC and Heartland Feeders with 3 points while Peace FC has one point with A&A FC last on the log with no point.
