YSFON Oriental Derby: First Mahi Babes Earns Ebonyi Win Over Abia

..As Imo Striker Queens (Imo) Beat Navy Team

The ongoing YSFON U-17 Chief Of Naval Staff Women football competition in Enugu has continued to throw up interesting results with the latest seeing Ebony State who a represented by First Mahi Babes FC getting the better of Abia State represented by Solo Wonders FC 3-0.

In the Group C encounter which was decided on Tuesday at Queens School field, Enugu, two first half goals from Ebizimor Joy and Ijeoma Joseph and one from Tanko Achiki was all the Mahi Babes needed to earn Ebonyi state a sweet victory against their Abia counterparts.

The team who are in same group with Imo (Iko Striker Queens), Abia (Solo Wonders) and NAVAL Ladies will take on the Navy team this morning by 11am at the same venue.

In the second game of the group, Imo (Imo Striker Queens) also defeated Navy Ladies 3-0 to give both teams 3 points and three goals in group C.

Eaqrlier, infonsew.com.ng learnt that in Group A, Giant Empress FC representing Osun state defeated Green Foot SA of Enugu State 1-0 in the opening game at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Sunday. The Osun team also defeated River team 2-1 to qualify for the quarter finals.
