Enyimba Hails Finidi On His Appointment As Super Eagles Chief Coach

The Chairman of Enyimba FC, Kanu Papilo Nwankwo "FIFA Ambassador" has on behalf of the entire Management, Staff and players of the People's Elephant' felicitated with Coach Finidi George on his appointment as the new Chief Coach of Super Eagles.

Kanu who made this expression after the NFF announcement of the Enyimba's Gaffer as the new Eagles Chief Coach said;

"Am happy with the appointment of Coach as the new Chief Coach of the Super Eagles.

"It's indeed a good news for us Enyimba and we congratulate him for this new elevation.

"The Super Eagles job is a big one any coach can wish for and we are happy for Finidi on his appointment.

"We also wish him success in all his games as his discharges his duty.

The Board of the Nigeria Football Federation recently approved the recommendation of it's Technical and Development Committee to appoint former ace winger and team mate of Kanu Nwankwo in the Super Eagles and Ajax of Holland as the Head Coach of the men national football team.

Before his appointment, he was the assistant to the former Gaffer, Jose Santos Peseiro for about 20 months and helped the team to a Silver medal at the just concluded AFCON in Cote D'Ivoire.

Finidi in the last NPFL season as Enyimba's Coach also guided the team to it's 9th league title and is currently navigating the two time CAF Champions League winners attempt to their 10th league titles.
