FIFA U-17 Women World Cup 2024: Imo Born Harmony's Strike Earns Flamingoes Draw Against Burkina Faso


 




Nigeria's quest to book a place in the next FIFA U-17 Women World Cup in Dominican Republic got slowed down yesterday by Burkina Faso.


Rainata Oubda's 85th equalizer cancelled out Chidi Harmony's 55th minute opener as Burkinababes held Nigeria's U17 Women's national team, Flamingos, to a draw.

 

The Imo Striker Queens petit goal poacher who has been painting tournaments with goals including the Maiden South East Women Football Association, SEWFA League held in Owerri last season and the YSFON Chief Of Naval Staff U-17 Female football Competition in Enugu recently among others has been instrumental to the success story of the Coach Bankole young lads as they edge closer to Dominican Republic 2024.


The encounter is  the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifying first-round fixture held at Stade 26 March Stadium in Bamako. 



Nigeria's U-17 Female team Gaffer, Coach Bankole Olowookere's enterprising side will however hope to seal the ticket in the second leg come May 18 in Abuja.



The Nigerian girls have failed to appear in only one edition of the competition (Uruguay 2018) since it was launched in New Zealand in 2008.
