Imo Sports Commission Boss Lauds Prophet Daniel's Commitment To Grassroots Devt

The Imo State Sports Commission Chairman, Prince (Sir) Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna "Ambassador" has commended Prophet Dom Daniel of Miraculous Deliverance Mission for investing on the youths and grassroots development.

Prince Ogbonna made this commendation in a chart with the Commission's Media after attending the 11th edition of the Dom Daniel Football Competition in Nekede, Owerri West LGA on Tuesday May 28, 2024.

He reiterated the need and importance of private individuals and organisations to invest in grassroots development which he noted not only helps to unearth burden talents but also empower youths of the state.

While commending the efforts and commitment of the sponsor of the Competition he assured that the Commission under his watch in collaboration with the Sports Ministry under Hon Obinna Onyeocha will always partner with individuals and organizations to ensure that grassroots sports is totally revived and revamped in line with His Excellency's Shared Prosperity 3R mantra.

The Imo Sports Commission Boss was on Tuesday in the company of the Honourable Commissioner For Sports And Youth Development, Hon. Obinna Onyeocha to perform The ceremonial Kick-off Ceremony Of The 11th Edition Of The "Prophet Dom Daniel Football Tournament".

Also at the event was  Hon. Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu, The Chief Political Adviser To the Governor And Head, Political Bureau, Imo State Government Among Others.

The Sponsor Of The Tournament, Prophet Dom Daniel Anyanwu of Miraculous Deliverance Mission, Nekede, Owerri West while addressing the audience stated that the tournament Is At It's 11th Edition adding that it is his own little way to supporting the Government in pulling youths off the streets. He added that It's also intended discover fresh talents that will in near future become future Champions and better citizens in the society.

Prophet Daniel however appealed to the Honourable Commissioner to regularly send scouts to the games so as to discover and possibly invite discovered talents to state teams.

The opening match was between Dom Daniel FC and Onyema FC both of Owerri West, while a total of  Sixteen (16) teams entered this seasons Edition billed to run daily for a month.
