Uzodimma Promises Heartland Special Reward To Win Remaining Six NPFL Games

.. As Commissioner, Onyeocha, Sports Commission Boss, Prince Ogbonna Visits Team 

The number one citizen of Imo State, His Excellency, the Executive Governor, Sen Hope Uzodimma has promised Heartland FC special reward if they can win their remaining Six NPFL matches.

The Governor made this known through the Imo Sports and Youth Development Commissioner, Honourable Obinna Onyeocha and the Chairman Imo Sports Commission, Hon Prince Sir Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna "Ambassador" when they paid the team a visit.

They charged Heartland FC players to give all they have to win the remaining six Nigeria Premier Football League games of the ongoing season and expect special reward.

Both in their separate speech at the team's training session on Thursday beckoned on former league champions to make it a memorable end to the season by winning their games and expect the surprise goodies of the Governor of the state, Senator Hope Uzodinma.

The Imo Sports Commissioner asserted that he and the Imo Sports Commission boss decided to attend the club's training session to motivate the team telling them they are not alone and charging them to brave the odds and go for the maximum points in their remaining matches.

Honourable Onyeocha said Governor Uzodinma has something special that can change their lives as players of Heartland FC but that he told him they must first win all their remaining matches to get the special reward.

"You may be surprised to see us here today. You may not have seen the Commissioner for Youth and Sports and Imo Sports Commission Chairman coming together to witness your training session. It is a sign of good thing coming," Honourable Onyeocha told Heartland FC players and other officials at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Thursday.

"We are here to encourage you and we will continue coming. It is not going to end today. We have to encourage. We want you to give your best and we know you can do it. Ex- Iwuanyanwu Nationale Worldwide is filled with former players of the club who are now doing well. We want to bring them together to help you. We want you to pay back by winning your matches and scoring goals. 

"The Governor said I should inform you that he is going to surprise you in remaining matches. He said you should win your games and see what he will do. You have a golden opportunity to sell yourselves and write your names in gold. Don't miss this golden opportunity. 

"If you are able to satisfy the Governor by winning the remaining matches, none of you will regret being in Heartland FC. You shall get whatever that supposed to come to you in full."

Speaking in same vein, the Chairman Imo Sports Commission, Prince Ogbonna urged the players, coaches and officials of the team to stay together and work in unity to ensure they achieve the purpose of winning the remaining games.

He assured the players of Heartland that to complement the effort of the sports loving Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, he and the Sports Commissioner, Honourable Onyeocha would further motivate them if they achieve the objective put before them before the end of the season.

"This is the time you need to give your best. If you want Heartland FC to retain you this the time for you to work your way into reckoning. If you can be able to win these six matches. His match has its own package. The Governor will do his own and I and the Commissioner Honourable Obinna Onyeocha will do our own as well and we will monitor it to ensure it gets to you," The Imo Sports Commission boss stated.

"This is time to give the best out of the best and ensure you work for one another to achieve the purpose of ensuring that Heartland FC remain in the elite division."
