Breaking: Organized Labour Suspends Nationwide Strike for 5 Days

 

The Organised Labour – Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) has suspended the nationwide strike for five days infonews.com.ng has gathered 

According to an impeccable source in Abuja, the decision which is yet to made official by NLC and its allies is to allow proper negotiation with the Tripartite Committee on the new national minimum wage.

Recall that the Labour leaders had on Monday, June 3, 2024 embarked on a nationwide strike over minimum wage and increase in electricity tariff.

The striker which continued today in no little measure affected all the sectors including the Airports as transportation were adversely affected.

With this decision is expected that normalcy will return in various sectors while the parties involved resolve the impass.
