Confusion Over Why Appeal Committee On Enyimba vs Doma UTD Saga Is Withholding Judgement?

Enyimba Football Club have recently been embroiled in some on field and off field controversies, 

and needless to say, a lot has been said and done to Enyimba about it. Not least, the imposition of a three match behind closed doors sanction slammed on Enyimba in Aba, and ₦7m fine amongst other reprimands.

When taken in isolation and out of context, it will appear to the cursory glance of the onlooker that Enyimba is a cantankerous club, but nothing could be further from the truth.

The truth is that Enyimba has suffered the most aggression and molestation in the league this season and in the past both from their opponents and referees, home and away. Referees aid teams against Enyimba with the worst and most shameful officiating, encouraging blatant fouls and infringements by teams with impunity against Enyimba. The Lobi vs Enyimba match in Lafia readily jumps to mind, where an Enyimba striker having run through on goal and with an obvious goal scoring opportunity was clearly and unceremoniously hacked down from behind and the referee gleefully waved play on, setting the tone for one of the most embarrassing examples of live football matches broadcast on tv this season and even topping it off with an involuntary celebration when the Lobi team finally scored against Enyimba before snapping out of it and reminding himself that he was supposed to be neutral. But it was too late, because the relief was visible on his face. He had delivered. 

In the match vs Shooting Stars FC in Ibadan, Enyimba players and officials were besieged in the dressing rooms by irate Ibadan fans threatening to kill and maim, exposed and without any protection from security personnel, the referees had to be smuggled out of the stadium in an ambulance. Nobody reported that, all the news channels and online courts did not condemn it. 

In the match at Enugu, so much has been said already and the propaganda has been in top gear against an Enyimba team and fans who were attacked and assaulted by Enugu fans that outnumbered them 5000/1 and all this has made Enyimba out to be initiators of the melee that broke out in Enugu when in fact, it was Enugu Rangers fans that attacked the Enyimba fans in the stands, pelting them with missiles and urine in plastic bags and bottles. This made the Enyimba fans to descend from the stands and with the stadium overfilled beyond capacity and traffic beyond control, the only route of escape open to them was the open field on which play had ceased since the award of the dubious penalty and to seek refuge in the technical area of their team, among their players and officials. The players, officials and fans of Enyimba were indiscriminately beaten, properties destroyed and the video evidence is there to show that.

In the reverse fixture in Aba, the referee allowed for play to continue after a blatant foul on Enyimba player Daniel Daga just outside the Enyimba penalty area and this resulted in a goal. A goal that Enyimba could only equalize and settle for a draw, which in retrospect and in light of subsequent officiating against Enyimba in the league and other judgement shows that it was the will and desire of the referees and their masters who sent them.

Do we talk about the match in Ilorin? Where the referee began from the first blast of the whistle to make every call against Enyimba and around their goal area just to pile pressure and give the opponents goal scoring chances and backing it up with indiscriminate Issuance of cards and verbal intimidation of Enyimba players on the field of play? How about the beatings he received in the dressing rooms during the half time break when the scores still stood at 1:1? Or the even worse officiating that beating resulted in for Enyimba in the second half? The list goes on and on.

It is an open secret that there is a gang up against Enyimba Football Club of Aba. This has been evident all season from the most shameful and provocatively poor officiating of Enyimba matches home and away, to the shameful verdicts given against Enyimba even when they're the victims, the instances are endless. And in all these matches, in the face of all these provocation especially in Aba, the elephants park and Enyimba home ground, no referee, no visiting team player and or official was touched, assaulted or molested. How then are Enyimba being made out to be the "serial offenders" that they have been maliciously labelled? Why?

The case in view, Enyimba vs Doma United has lingered for months running but the one involving Rangers International of Enugu has been swiftly dispatched and the maximum points and goals awarded to Rangers as against the points deduction and discount of goal meted out to Enyimba in a game where Doma players and officials attacked the first assistant referee (AR1), refused to restart the match and disrupted a live broadcast.

Enyimba has appealed the despicable decision, and the appeal committee has sat 24 hours before the committee that heard the appeal on the Rangers fracas and once again, the panel on the Enyimba vs Doma United case appears not to have reached any verdict and if they have, are reluctant to make it public, whereas the committee on Rangers vs Enyimba has once again swiftly reached and published their findings so that Rangers can go on and be crowned champions on Sunday as was predetermined by the orchestrators of all these schemes.

Now, the begging question is why is the appeal committee on the Doma case not able to reach a verdict? And if they have, why then are they clearly reluctant to release their verdict despite having sat 24 hours earlier than the panel on the Rangers case? What is their plan, if any? Whose interests are they trying to further and protect by not reaching a verdict on time before the kickoff of he last set of matches to mark the end of the league season in less than 24 hours from this post? And if they have indeed reached a verdict, why are they witholding the official publication of their verdict? What exactly do they hope to achieve by that? Even after the league has been awarded to the predetermined team, is the agenda against Enyimba still on? I hope it's not what I'm thinking?
