Finidi, Osihmen Debacle: Fact of The Matter!

Finidi's media men, lynch pins, hatchet writers and all manner of wannabes are distorting the fact of the matter. They are bombing us with just one sided view in the Finidi, Osimhen unfortunate tale. 

Osimhen was wrong. Osimhen went too far. Osimhen has yet to reach Finidi's stature in football. These are scewed analysis, not representing the issue the way it is. 

Those defending Finidi are still the ones who told he was the best, the most suitable for the job. Some of us called for caution, but they called us unprintable names. 

When actions began, Finidi finished himself. We waited for him to give reasons why he led Eagles to the hunter where their wings were clipped. Finidi came on board. He said formation never matterd. Finidi informed us that Ekong was injured. He said Osimhen caused Eagles' failure. 

Of course, Osimhen is human. He felt insulted. He replied in his own way. Did the allegations against Osimhen true? Was Ekong injured? What of Boniface's exclusion from the qualifiers? What was Finidi's motivational and inspirational approaches to his players? 

On the other hand, what were Osimhen's allegations against Finidi? Were they true? Did Finidi misrepresent Osimhen? Between Finidi and Osimhen who lied? These are the issues on the burner. 

Some of the even informed commentators have been  asking this nasty question: if it were his Napoli coach, would Osimhen take the same approach? The answer is, no European coach would have come too low as Finidi did. By the way, Osimhen threatened a court action when a reckless racism rants were made aagainst him by Napoli fans and he was begged to sheath the sword. 

You see, we must blame the NFF who hitherto had wanted a roadside foreign coach. The NFF knew that Finidi had no capacity, character, capability and pedigree to thinker the Super Eagles. Yet, it employed him ahead of the man most Nigerians and majority of the players preferred, who has had experiences both locally and internationally. 

And who also had hands in the discovery as well as nurturing some of Nigeria's current Super Eagles players. With Finidi's mess which is a disaster foretold, the NFF wants to bring another motor park European as a foreign coach. It is quite regrettable. Had the NFF done what is right, the Finidi, Osimhen angst would have been avoided. 

Therefore, the NFF must thoroughly investigate what happened between the former coach and his player. Who is at fault? We want to know. 

Many of the anti Osihem men here are still the ones who at various times in the past had been quite brutal on thier articles and standings against football managers in the country even as some of them had also presented the politicians in worse light than Victor did to his erstwhile Eagles manager. 

Blaming Osimhen is just trying to wave what the sporting press ought to have tagged "The Finidi Blunder" aside and it is not good for our football!
