Tension In Imo As Gunmen Kill 6 Police Officers, POS Operator

 

They was palpable fear and panic around Owerri Capital City of Imo state following the disheartening news of a dastardly killing of Six Police men and a Point of Sale POS, Operator along Onitsha Owerri road on Monday evening.

Although the Police has not made a public statement regarding the ugly incident as at the time of filing this report, but a report gathered from a popular journalist and videos making round, the lifeless bodies of the victims were seen lying helpless were the killings occured.

The report reads;

"Fleeing gunmen on Monday evening killed six  policemen and a Point of Sale operator on the Ontisha Road area of Owerri, Imo state.

"The on- the - run gunmen opened fire where the cops were on motion at the AA Rano and Gbobal fuel stations areas of the Road.

"Six cops and a POS operator was confirmed dead in the attack as the non -state -actors fled.

"The spokesman for the police in the state, Henry Okoye had yet to respond to inquiries concerning the incident.
