Falconets Players, Osigwe, Kalu, White, Okechukwu Support SEWFA League







In their conscious effort to give back to their roots and the society, a group of Falconets players have given their widows might to support the ongoing SEWFA -Tawkwell League in Awka Anambra state.


This was made known through the Chairman of the South East Women Football Association SEWFA, Mr Alex Nzekwe who expressed his gratitude and that of SEWFA body to the amazing gesture of the future face of Nigerian women football.


SEWFA according to Mr Nzekwe got financial support from four Falconets players who are bound for the FIFA U-20 Women world cup later this year. The players, Okechukwu Chiamaka, Oluchi White, Osuigwe Chiamaka and Chinyere Kalu made the gesture as a way of supporting the development of female football in South East and Nigeria at large.


Reacting to the gesture, President of Imo Striker Queens FC, Prince Chidi thanked the players for their spirited effort noting that their action shows the character of a potential future good mothers as he called on other spirited South East son's and daughters to support the project which is geared towards promotion the development of female football in South East as well empowering the Girl Child in our area.


The tournament which is in its second edition kicked off on Monday August 12, 2024 and will end on Saturday August 24, 2024 at the Awka City Stadium, Anambra State.
