Platinum FC Emerges Maiden Winners of Mbaise Nations Football League








Platinum Football club of Uvuru Aboh Mbaise yesterday became the first club to win the Mbaise Nation Football League after a 4-1 victory over Amargab Academy at the Newly renovated Ogbe City Football Ground Ahiazu Mbaise.


The two teams gave fans reasons to celebrate the end of the first edition of the league which has been very successful because of the exposure it has granted the players who participated.


Speaking after taking the kickoff, Chairman Iri jI Mbaise National Festival and BOT Chairman of the league, Dr Kachi Nwoga said the next edition of the league will surpass the first edition both in playing and execution, coming a day to Iri Ji Mbaise.


He enjoined residents of the area to troop out for the iri Ji Mbaise celebration at Ahiazu Mbaise local government area adding that security of lives and properties  will be secured.


The CEO of the league, Kennedy Onwunali revealed that plans are underway for the second edition adding that winners of the competition will be presented with their medals to the Mbaise people and millions of people watching round the world via zoom at the  festival.


According to him, this will be done by the former Africa Footballer of the Year, Chief Emmanuel Amuneke MFR, who will also attend the festival.
