Prince Ogbonna Applauds Amuneke's Appointment As Heartland Tech Manager

..Sports Commission Boss Hails Gov's Decision

The Imo State Sports Sports Commission Chairman, Hon Prince (Sir) Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna "Ambassador" has applauded the appointment of ex-international and former CAF Player of the year, Emmanuel Amuneke as Heartland FC Technical Manager.

Prince Ogbonna who made the commendation   from France while reacting to the appointment also hailed His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzidimma "Onwa Oyoko" for his visionary and decisive action.

Governor Uzodimma on Monday at the state Executive Chambers unveiled the former Barcelona winger who led Nigeria U-17 male team to FIFA World Cup back to back in 2013 as Assistant and 2015 as Head Coach as the new Heartland FC Technical Manager.

"Am elated that my boss, His Excellency once again has taken a decisive and visionary decision by placing a round peg in a round hole.

"Amuneke's appointment is indeed an icing on the cake and a brilliant decision towards returning our darling club  back to were it rightfully belongs.

"I can assure you that as a astute professional in his chosen career, my brother Amuneke will certainly not disappoint.

"He has proven over time on many occasions during his playing days and as a coach that he is a winner and knows how to coach champions and he is passionate with his work.

"While I salute His Excellency for heeding to the yearnings of Imolites and fans of the club, I also congratulate my brother, Amuneke on his new assignment and wish success.

"I also wish to assure that Imo Sports Commission in conjunction with Ministry of Sports would always work and support the new Heartland Technical Manager in all we can for his desired success and that of the clubs fans and supporters.
