SEWFA-TAWKWELL League: Harmony, Miracle Paint Awka With Goals

The South East Women Football Association SEWFA League which is powered by Tawkwell on Monday August 12, 2024 at the Awka City Stadium, Anambra State with flourish of goals.

The competition which is in the second edition is geared towards developing women football in the south eastern region of Nigeria and to empower the Girl Child through football.

In the opening encounter between Imo Striker Queens FC of Imo, national under 17 prowess, Harmony Chidi and her team mates had a goal feast against green horns, Zohar FA of Enugu 9-0 with Harmony and Miracle Ezeka accounting for six goals (3 each).

Other scorers include Mary Akpan, Oscar Precious and Christian Sunday who all got one each.

In the second game of Day One, it was an Anambra derby between Awka Angels and Dynamite Angels as the former got the better of their compatriots 1-0 through a second half goal from Ifunanyachukwu Chikwai.

Meanwhile, Hostilities continues today, Tuesday August 13, 2024 with three juicy games that will see Green Foot SA of Enugu square up against another green horns, Little Bird FC of Anambra by 10am while GPWorld FA of Nnewi will by 12noon take on Pepsi Academy of Aba.

The last game of the day will be between Immaculate Queens FC of Enugu against Solo Wonders UKF of Abia State by 3pm.

On Wednesday August 14, 2024, Imo Striker Queens Feeders of Imo state will have their first bite of the league when they face Giant Empress SA of Aba by 10am, GPWorld FA will take on Imo Striker Queens by 12noon and the last game of the day will be between Immaculate Queens FC and Awka Angels FC by 3pm.
