..Kun Khalifat Holds Rangers, Enyimba Peeps Excellent FC

In fulfilment of their promises, organizers of the 6th edition of Ifeanyi Ekwueme TICO SELECT Preseason Football Tournament "Abakaliki 2024" has handed out official tournament kits and items.

Presenting the items today at the Pa Ngele Stadium in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state, sole sponsor of the tournament, Ifeanyi Ekwueme handed out Tournament Tags, Match Balls, Teams Official T-Shirts among others to delight of the participating teams.

The LOC Chairman told the tournament media that the exercise was in line with their promise of ensuring a modern and professional tournament.

He said the official Wears and the SELECT match balls is a motivational effort of the sole sponsor, ex-international Ifeanyi Ekwueme to encourage the teams.

The teams who received the kits and Tournament items include; Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia, Rangers FC of Enugu, Mathias FC of Abakiliki, Excellent FC of Ugheli, Delta State, Kun Khalifat FC of Owerri, Apex Krane FC of Asaba and Enyimba FC of Aba as well the Ebonyi State FA Secretary.

Highlight of the brief event was the official unveiling of the Tournament's brand new FIFA World Cup look alike trophy by beautiful models which added glamour to the games.

Four games were decided on Tuesday as the matches returned to Pa Ngele Stadium, Abakaliki.

In the first game, Ashivers FC were held to a 2-2 by Mathias FC, while Kun Khalifat FC of Owerri in their second outing held NPFL champions, Rangers Int'l FC of Enugu.

Abia Warriors in the third game of the day continued their dominance of group A as they edged Apex Krane FC 2-1 just as Enyimba FC overcame Excellent FC challenge with narrow 1-0 victory.

Action continues tomorrow, Monday August 26, 2024 from 9am as Coal City FC of Enugu takes on Kun Khalifat FC.

The second game will see Enyimba FC trade tackles with Great Ashivers FC of Enugu in both second of the tournament while the third and last game of the day will be an Oriental derby between Abia Warriors FC and Rangers Int'l FC that is expected to throw up a supremacy battle.
