The CEO of Mathias Football Academy, Abakaliki, Mr Eze Mathias "E-Mathias" has insisted that in no distance time top flight football will return back to Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

Speaking to the media in Abakaliki on Sunday at the Pa Ngele Stadium, Abakiliki "E-Mathias" who arguably is the youngest club owner in the country expressed delight that his team though the youngest is taking part in the Ifeanyi Ekwueme TICO SELECT Preseason Football Tournament which is in it's 6tg edition.

"Yeah, i feel very good, its an opportunity and a very good one, just like a very young team I want my players to get exposed and improve in the game.

"The tournament is a very great one because it's not easy to pull clubs together for such great games considering the economic recession we into now.

"To the organizers i say kudos to them, despite the obstacles that tried to make unsuccessful, they remained resolute and it has been very professional.

The 22 year old former goalkeeper who played professional football briefly for As Auxure FC in French league 2 said he was motivated to go into club ownership after seeing himself succeed at the age of 17 when he left ASJ FC Academy in Eziobodo in Owerri West Community in Imo state along side Kelechi Nwakali and Chidiebere Nwakali.

He was optimistic that with continuous push there is a possibility that a team will soon rise from Abakaliki to represent Ebonyi in the Nigerian National League NNL and possibly NPFL as Ebonyi Angels did couple of years ago.
