CAF CC: Akwa Ibom FA Boss Rallies Support For People's Elephant Against Etoile Filante

 

The Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Football Association, Samuel Umoh, has paid a courtesy visit to Enyimba FC during their training session at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

The visit, aimed at boosting the team's morale, saw Chairman Umoh describe Enyimba FC as "family" and reaffirm the state's commitment to supporting the team.

"Enyimba is family, and we are proud of their achievements," Chairman Umoh stated. "We are committed to supporting the team in every way possible."

In a stirring address to the players, Chairman Umoh emphasized the significance of their role as ambassadors of Nigeria.

"You are not fighting for yourselves nor Enyimba, you're fighting for Nigeria, and we are solidly behind you," he said. "Your victories are our victories, and your successes are our successes."

Enyimba FC is gearing up for the 2nd leg of the CAF Confederation Cup against Etoile Filante on September 22, 2024, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium. A win would guarantee their spot in the group stages.

"The stakes are high, but we believe in you," Chairman Umoh added. "Go out there and make Nigeria proud."

Coach Yemi Olarenwaju and his team have been training intensively in Uyo, preparing for this make-or-break encounter.
