Amb Ogbonna Bags Society Of Nigerian Authors Award On Sports Devt

The Imo State Sports Commission Chairman, Hon Prince Sir Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna "Ambassador" has been recognized for his passionate and continues contribution towards sports development.

Amb Ogbonna received the accolade recently from members of the Society of Nigerian Authors SNA, in appreciation to his outstanding contribution and excellent service to sports development both in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

Presenting the award to the former Torino and Selerientina FC of Italy player, the leader of SNA, Alhaji Taofik Akinbunmi described Amb Ogbonna as a selfless humanitarian who's passion to help the youths through sports is next to non.

He said the SNA having accessed his anticidents both as a philanthropist/Sports promoter and recently as the Chairman, Imo State Sports Commission that it was only befitting to recognize his efforts and good intentions by honouring him with the award.

In his reaction, Amb Ogbonna expressed delight at the honour done to him assuring that it can only spur him to do more.

He used the opportunity to real out some of his key achievements including the recent partnership with some Spanish Sports Clubs and Italian teams to train talented player from Imo state which is key to Governor Hope Uzodimma's 3R and Shared Prosperity youth empowerment programme especially in the sports sector.
