Enugu: First Lady's Female Football Tourney Gets Nov Date

The maiden edition of the Enugu First Lady's Cup amongst female football teams across the local government areas of the state has been scheduled to get underway on November 7, 2024, organisers have confirmed.

The competition will run through November 15, when the final is billed to hold.

The championship is being organised by the Topflight Sports International in conjuction with the Enugu State Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Children, Women Affairs and Social Development as well as Ministry of Local Government, Chieftancy Matters and Rural Development.

The opening ceremony is expected to take place inside the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, with the wife of the state governor, Her Excellency, Mrs Nkechinyere Iheoma Mbah in attendance.

Enugu North and their Isi-Uzo Local Government teams will get the competition underway at 4pm on the opening day, 7 November, 2024.

Enugu East and Enugu South will take their turn on November 8 at 10am at the Ngwo Park.

The competition is being organised on knock out basis even as the prize money is yet to be announced.
