Ikukuoma Sports Devt President, High Chief Summers VC Nwokie Bags SWAN Award

The President of Ikukuoma Sports Development Foundation, High Chief Dr. Summers VC Nwokie (Ikukuoma 1 of Mbaise) has bagged the Imo SWAN Talent and Sports Development Promoter of the Year Award from the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Imo State Chapter, 

on Saturday November 16 2024.

The event which took place at the Rock View Hotels, Owerri, marked the end of the 2024 Imo SWAN Week celebration. 

Nwokie, who was represented by Mbaise Blues Team Manager, Chuks Dike, was conferred with the honour for his enormous benevolence and magnificent support to discovering, nurturing and projection of talented individuals, notably in football, athletics, Baseball and softball, likewise sporting infrastructures. 

The Mbaise born business mogul who floated Ikukuoma Football Club after years of pioneering Unity Cups and Secondary School tournaments has engraved his name in the football community with his team being the defending champions of the Imo Football Association (FA) Cup.
