D&D Mpam Unity Cup Hits Crescendo, As Umuohuo Battles Umuegwu For Glory Kan 1st

All is now set for the grand finale of the maiden edition of the D&D Mpam Unity Football Competition for all the Villages in Mpam Community in Ekwereazu, Ahiazu LGA.

Reports emanating from the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), made available to infonews.com.ng indicates that the dice is evenly cast between Umuohuo Village and Umuegwu Village vying for the coverted trophy and glory for the Villages on Wednesday January 1st, 2025 at the Mpam Community Primary School Field by 3pm.

Speaking ahead of the much expected carnival like football final, the tournament's Coordinator, Mr Uchechukwu "Ezege" while commending the Villages and their teams for maintaining the spirit of sportsmanship all through the commencement of the tournament also appreciated the donors, Mr Sylvester Ehirim and Chief Kelechi Chiemeam "Duke of Ekwereazu" for magnanimously using their resources to promote Unity, Peace and Progress in Mpam Community through football.

He noted that the tournament is also used to honour the lovely baby twin gift to Duke of Ekwereazu who's home coming would be celebrated on Sunday December 29th, 2024.

Ezege further noted that the winners of the tournament will apart from going home with the giant trophy and gold medals also pocket a mouth watering sum for their troubles, while the second placed team also gets Silver medals and a handsome cash reward as well as other individual awards such as Best Player of the tournament, Best Keeper, Top Scorer among others.
