Talent Hunt Academy Scouting Programme: Amb Ogbonna Eulogized For Attracting Spanish Club Boss, Representatives

The Imo State Sports Commission Chairman, Hon Prince Sir Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna "Ambassador" has continued to attract commendations for his relentless commitment and administrative dexterity towards sports development in the state.

This is following the eulogies poured Imo FA Chairman , Barr Ifeanyi Dike "Fela" on Amb Ogbonna for attracting Spanish Club owner, CF NOU JOVE CASTELLON, Mr Endo Chiva Juan Jose and the Club President, Mr Ramos Molina Manuel who arrived Owerri the state Capital on Monday after touching down at the Imo Airport with another football Agent, Mr Isisguzo Keny Patrick Uche for the Imo Talent Hunt Football Scouting Programme organized by the Imo State Sports Commission Chairman.

Reacting to the media during a diner reception for the Spanish entourage, Barr Dike used the opportunity to laud His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo state, Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzidimma for appointing  a round peg into a round hole in the person of Amb Ogbonna to manage the Commission.

Among those that were on hand to welcome the Spanish entourage include; Imo State Commissioner for Youth & Talent Hunt Development, Hon Dr Emeka Mandela, Hon Ekeh Humble Eze (Chief Protocol Officer & SA Special Duties to Sports Commission Chairman), Hon Chuka Eregbu, Hon Emma Nnadi 'Kaloko' (Sports Commission Tech Head), ) and Mr Obinna.

Amb Ogbonna who among many other grassroots developmental projects has been passionate towards identifying, nurturing and professionally developing Imo talents has struck a master stroke with the scouting programme which is in line with the diversified Youth Empowerment of His Excellency's Shared Prosperity/3R mantra by giving Imo talented football players a platform of playing professional football in Spain and Europe at large.

The former professional footballer with a humble beginning after his professional stint with some Italian Club sides including Torino, Salerentina among others ventured into business and over the years has worked tirelessly to help the youths off the street through his PODEF foundation.

His track record in working with sports agencies across Europe and grassroots sports development enthusiasts in Nigeria endured the Youths Sports Federation of Nigeria, YSFON to make him the Sports Ambassador, South East.

The TALENT HUNT ACADEMY SCOUTING PROGRAMME which kicks off today at Asumpta Primary school Prefab Area beside St Andrew's Anglican Church Owerri, off Methodist Bus Stop on MCC/Uratta road starts by 3:30pm.
