Hotel Arizona's Mother Joins The Triumphant Saints

The quiet town of Ibiasoegbe in Oru West LGA of Imo was agog on Tuesday January 7,2025,as the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Hotel Arizona Ltd Owerri,Nze Okeke Arinze buried his mother.

The burial programme  almost turned to a political jamboree as creme-de-la creme in the society attended the burial.

The burial ceremony commenced with a funeral mass at St Paul's Catholic Church Ibiasoegbe with six priests in attendance.

Addressing christain faithful and mourners,the homilist Rev Fr Remigius Anyadioha, incidentally an indigene of the community, told the worshippers that when someone dies,people are know where the person is going because of the life the person lived.

He said that he knows the deceased, disclosing that she is a Christian,hard working and industrious woman who lived her life for others.

The clergy man said that the late Ezinne Theresa Okeke was a hard working farmer and never minded that her husband was a great man.

"She is conscious of the fact that that she is a devoted Christian, his late husband was a church warden.When you see her, you see her faith as a Christian reflecting,I ate her food and she fed many Seminarians" Fr.Remy said.

Citing the scripture in Revelation 13:14, the man of God said that people will be remembered for their work, whether good or bad, stressing that what ever one can do for God and others let them do it because those things counts when the person dies.He urged Christians to live a good life like Mama Theresa, pointing out that all human beings are tenants in the world.

The burial ceremony had who is who in the state,as roll calls of dignitaries that graced the occasion is endless.

The Bongo music crooner Shammer Melody was on ground and held the guests spellbound with his melodious performance.

In his response, the last son of the deceased and the owner of Hotel Arizona Ltd Owerri, Nze Okeke Arinze ( Akaepuchi onwa of Ibiasoegbe), thanked all for sparing their time to mourn with him.He said that his mother has gone and it may be another person's turn tomorrow and warned people against keeping malice, backbiting and other evil activities, noting that the world is nothing.
