Kennedy Obi & Wife Elevated With Chieftaincy Title By Amakohia-Uratta Trad Ruler

The memories of Saturday January 11,2025, will continue to linger in the hearts of Chief Mrs Judith Obi (Igolo), an illustrious daughter of Umuakuru in Amakohia-Uratta autonomous community of Owerri North LGA, of Imo State, as her traditional ruler, HRH Eze Boniface Chibundu (Ama 1 of Amakohia-Uratta) decided to honour her with a chieftaincy title based on her support and philanthropic gesture towards the development of her native community.

Igolo as she is fondly called, newsmen gathered is a philanthropists personified.

Information available to journalists, revealed that she has uplifted numerous families in Amakohia-Uratta community, saved lives at the Federal Medical Center Owerri through her immense contributions and has seemingly extended hands of fellowship in an unprecedented magnitude to both widows and the less privilege in the community and beyond,an action which informed the decision of the Royal Father to honour her with the Chieftaincy title of "Nwa Chi turu-ugo 1 of Amakohia-Uratta autonomous community", which literally means a child blessed and beautified by God.

It was also garnered that High Chief Judy Paul-Obi is a devoted Catholic and has contributed immensely towards the growth and development of the church, especially St.Michael's Catholic Church Amakohia.

Similarly,Igolo's husband,High Chief Johnkenndy Emeka Obi was conferred chieftaincy title of "Nwa Chi mere eze 1 of Amakohia-Uratta autonomous community"

Chief Obi was recognised by his in-laws based on his commitment, support and the mutual love that has existed between him and his in-laws.

High Chief Obi is a seasoned technocrat from Amakohia in ihitte-Uboma LGA of Imo State.

A graduate of St Edwards University, Austin Texas and a retired law enforcement officer, Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Okenwa is a great philanthropist whose benevolence has been felt by the community, the clergy, the church and the society at large.

The event took place at the Palace of the traditional ruler of Amakohia-Uratta autonomous community,Eze Boniface Chibundu.

Women cultural dancers, including Ogene Boys were on ground to entertain guests at the event.

The awardees were seen radiating with smiles at the end of the ceremony.
