Imo SWAN Hails Foremost Referee, Ndubuisi Ukah On His Latest FIFA Badge Decoration

 

Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Imo Chapter is sharing the joyous moment with one of its awardees in the last Imo SWAN Week, Ndubuisi Odiwonma Ukah who was among the foremost Nigerian referees who were on Thursday decorated with the badge of world football governing body, FIFA.

The decoration ceremony which took place in Abuja on Thursday conferred on Ukah and the 29 other arbiters the authority to perform as international referees in the year 2025. Ukah will serve as a Futsal referee.

President of NFF, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, performed the decoration, alongside the Chairman of NFF Referees Committee, Mrs Faith Irabor, General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi and the Head of NFF Refereeing Unit, Alhaji Sani Zubairu.

SWAN, Imo Chapter in a congratulatory message through its Chairman, Cosmos Chukwuemeka appreciate the excellent work and dedication of Ukah to his passion- refereeing and his divine call.

He said he has no doubt in his mind that Ukah will put Imo State on the front burner through his passion in 2025 and that his latest feat showed that SWAN, Imo didn't make mistake picking him among eminent Imolites who were awarded last November in Owerri.

Ukah who has been a FIFA referee since 2014 has been retained as a futsal referee in 2025 and SWAN, Imo wishes him well as he looks forward to getting assignments and more recognition in his line of duty.
