Gov Uzodimma Vows To Ensure Justice For 14 Yr Old Student Shot By A Lawyer









The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has vowed to ensure that justice prevails on the death of a 14-year old student of Urban Development Secondary School shot to death by a lawyer in  world bank Housing Estate, New Owerri.

The Commissioner of Education, Primary and Secondary, Prof. Johnclif Nwadike disclosed this on Wednesday while addressing students of Owerri City School during their 2025 Annual Inter-House Sports competition.

He said that the governor felt bad on hearing about the death of Paul Destiny Victor, and that he is on the matter .He said that the assailant is in Police net while investigation is going on and assured they students that government is working out modalities to ensure that students are protected.

The Commissioner said that while they students are happy on the inter-house sports competition, for him,he is sad that one of them who was preparing for the same Inter-House Sports is now in the mortuary.

He called for the observation of a minute silence in honour of the late student and seemingly thanked the parents for honouring their invitation.

It would be recalled that an Owerri based lawyer, Barrister Donald Mbamah 64,shot a student on Monday March 17,2025 and the boy died four days after.
