Enyimba FC Chairman and Nigerian football legend, Kanu ‘Papilo’ Nwankwo, has once again demonstrated his commitment to the club’s success by rewarding the players with a whopping ₦1 million as motivation ahead of their crucial NPFL matchday 30 clash against Bayelsa United on Sunday.

The former Super Eagles captain visited the squad after their final training session on Friday, accompanied by club board member, Uche Okechukwu ‘Gentle Giant’, Sporting Director Ifeanyi Ekwueme, and Team Manager Okey Nwabeke among other management members.

The visit, aimed at boosting morale, came on the heels of Enyimba’s impressive five-match unbeaten streak, including a 1-0 victory over Elkanemi Warriors in Aba and a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Ikorodu City in Lagos.

Kanu, clearly impressed by the players’ recent performances, hailed their fighting spirit and professional attitude, urging them to maintain their momentum as they chase their league ambitions.

"I commend your fighting spirit to earn these positive results so far, and that’s why we must push for more until we reach our destination," he added, emphasizing the need for continued hard work, especially in the upcoming battle against Bayelsa United.
