Back-to-Back Awards: Students & Advocacy Groups Celebrates Prada Uzodimma

Recently, philanthropist and concerned citizen, Barr. Prada Uzodimma, daughter of Executive Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, played host to a series of courtesy visits by key Student, Youth and Advocacy Groups in recognition of her growing impact in the areas of education, social development and disability inclusion.

Among these groups she warmly received were the Albinism Association of Nigeria, Imo State Chapter, led by its President, Hon. Victor Igbebulem.

Thus, the association expressed deep appreciation for the Albinism Awareness Program organised the previous year under Prada Uzodimma’s foundation, The Ability Life Initiative.

Notably, the outreach had provided education on Albinism and distributed Sun Protection Creams, Protective Gear and other support materials to persons living with albinism.

In honour of her efforts, the group presented her with an Award of Recognition, while eulogizing her  commitment to dignity, inclusion and advocacy for marginalised communities.

The Nigerian Youth Parliament, Imo State Chapter, also visited led by Emmanuel Okorie, the Member representing Imo West Senatorial District and saluted Uzodimma’s consistent contributions to youth development and nation-building.

Discussions during the visit focused on future engagements and sustained collaboration in areas that affect young people across the state.

The Representatives of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Zone F, South East, led by Secretary General, Comrade Alfred Jacinta, paid tribute to Prada Uzodimma, for her continued support for student empowerment.

They highlighted her work through the Prada Uzodimma Imo Indigenes Scholarship Grant, which has offered scholarships to indigent students at Imo State University.

The delegation heartily presented her with a gift of appreciation and Prada Uzodimma, in turn, pledged her support for the association’s future initiatives.

Just as Members of Divine Chambers, the Law Students’ Association of Imo State University, led by their Lord Chancellor, Lorretta Nwosu As patron of the association also paid her homage with Prada Uzodimma welcoming the leadership, who expressed gratitude for her mentorship and interest in student affairs.

The visit featured discussions around the chamber’s upcoming essay competition and welfare projects for law students. She pledged continued support and affirmed her desire to attend their next general meeting.

The visits were a clear reflection of Uzodimma’s rising profile and her growing connection with young people and advocacy groups across the state.

As more communities continue to recognise her efforts in education and social impact, she is steadily carving out a space for herself as a genuine force for inclusive progress in Imo State.
